The longer drive from Kolkata makes it better suited to travellers who are comfortable with a substantial road journey, but once you reach the hills, the pace becomes wonderfully unhurried.

Kolkata → Dankuni → Burdwan → Dalkhola → Siliguri → Kurseong
The journey is largely on good highways until Siliguri, after which the road becomes more winding as you climb into the hills.
Because of the distance, this is best approached as a proper road journey rather than a rushed transfer.
Our suggestion:
For the 3N/4D version, consider an overnight journey with a planned halt around Siliguri before continuing to Kurseong.
For pets, schedule regular breaks for water, toilet, food and movement, especially during the long highway section.

• Kurseong is particularly suited to pets who enjoy cooler weather, nature walks and exploring outdoor spaces.
• The hill roads from Siliguri are winding, so pets prone to motion sickness may need extra care.
• Tea estate and forest trails can have uneven, damp or slippery sections, particularly after rain.

• Avoid allowing your pet to wander freely through dense vegetation or unfamiliar trails.

DAY 1 | KOLKATA → KURSEONG
Begin the journey from Kolkata towards Siliguri and Kurseong.
For the 3N/4D option, an overnight drive with a planned rest stop en route can make the journey easier for both you and your pet.
For the 2N/3D option, begin early enough to reach Kurseong comfortably and avoid turning the arrival day into a rushed transfer.
Check into your stay and keep the evening completely relaxed.
Give your pet time to settle in before taking a short walk around the property.

DAY 2 | EAGLE'S CRAG & TEA ESTATES
Start the morning with a relaxed walk and head towards Eagle's Crag for its mountain views
Continue to a nearby tea estate and explore the surroundings at an easy pace.
Return to the property for a leisurely afternoon and plenty of rest.
Spend the evening enjoying the cool mountain air with your pet.
DAY 3 | DOW HILL & KETTLE VALLEY
Explore Dow Hill and selected nature trails in the morning.
Continue towards Giddapahar View Point and Kettle Valley, allowing plenty of time for short walks and scenic stops.
Return to the property before evening and enjoy a quiet final night in the hills.

DAY 4 | KURSEONG → KOLKATA
Enjoy breakfast and one final morning walk around the property.
Check out and begin the return journey towards Kolkata.
Plan regular breaks along the way so your pet can stretch, drink water and rest comfortably during the long drive home.
