The drive is relatively straightforward, making Mandarmani an excellent choice for a short road holiday with your pet.
Our suggestion:
Take a comfortable breakfast or refreshment break around Kolaghat or Nandakumar, giving your pet time to stretch, drink water and take a proper walking break.

• Mandarmani is particularly suited to pets who enjoy long walks, open spaces and being outdoors.
• Beach conditions can change with the tide. Keep your pet close to you and avoid letting them venture too far into the water.
• Hot sand and exposed beach surfaces can become uncomfortable for paws during the middle of the day. Early morning and evening are best for longer beach walks.
• Keep your pet leashed in public areas, particularly around crowded stretches and road crossings.
• Avoid allowing your pet to drink seawater.
• Carry plenty of fresh drinking water during beach outings.
• Coastal weather can be warm and humid, so provide adequate shade and rest during the day.
• Casuarina and nature areas may have uneven ground, loose sand or fallen branches. Supervise your pet during walks.
• Some restaurants, attractions and religious sites may not permit pets.
• If visiting New Digha or other busier coastal areas, choose quieter hours for a more comfortable experience.
• Carry your pet's regular food, water bowl, leash, waste bags, towel, bedding, basic first-aid supplies and any regular medication.

DAY 1 | KOLKATA → MANDARMANI
Drive from Kolkata towards Mandarmani via Kolaghat, Nandakumar, Contai and Chawlkhola.
Take a comfortable break en route before continuing towards the coast.
Check into your resort and allow your pet some time to settle in.
In the evening, head out for your first Mandarmani beach walk and enjoy the sunset together.
Return to the resort for a relaxed evening.
The sea, a long walk and nowhere else to be.
DAY 2 | TAJPUR, CASUARINA FORESTS & THE COAST
Start early with a beach walk at Mandarmani before the day gets warm.
After breakfast, drive towards Tajpur and explore its quieter beach stretches and the surrounding casuarina belt.
Spend some time walking through the peaceful surroundings before continuing towards Shankarpur, if desired.
In the late afternoon, continue towards New Digha.
Enjoy an evening walk along New Digha Beach / promenade and soak in the local seaside atmosphere.
Have an early dinner or evening meal before driving back to Mandarmani.
A full day of coastal exploring — with plenty of room for your pet to rest in between.
DAY 3 | SLOW MORNING & MANDARMANI → KOLKATA
Keep the final morning completely relaxed.
Enjoy breakfast at the resort and take your pet for one last beach walk.
Spend some time around the resort lawn or garden before checking out.
Begin the return journey to Kolkata with a comfortable break en route.
OPTIONAL DAY 4 | THE SLOW COASTAL DAY
For the extended 3N / 4D version, don't add another packed sightseeing day.
Keep the morning relaxed at Mandarmani and take another long beach walk.
Later, explore Mandarmani Mohana or add a scenic excursion towards Junput before beginning the return journey to Kolkata.
One more day by the sea is sometimes all the itinerary you need.
