Together, they make an excellent pet-friendly escape for travellers who enjoy walking, scenic drives, outdoor cafés and relaxed mountain days.
Landour, in particular, is ideal for simply wandering with your pet and enjoying the old-world atmosphere without rushing from one attraction to another.

Suggested Route:
Delhi → Meerut → Muzaffarnagar → Roorkee → Dehradun → Mussoorie
The journey is comfortable for most of the route, with good highways before the climb towards Mussoorie.
The final stretch from Dehradun is winding and can become busy, particularly during weekends and peak travel periods.
Our suggestion:
Take a comfortable break around Roorkee or Dehradun for refreshments, water and a proper walking break before beginning the final mountain climb.
- Mussoorie and Landour are best suited to pets who are comfortable with hill roads, walking and moderate crowds.
- The approach from Dehradun is winding, so pets prone to motion sickness may need extra care.
- Landour's quiet lanes can involve steep gradients and uneven surfaces, so take walks at a comfortable pace.
- Keep your pet leashed around roads, viewpoints, markets and busy public areas.
- Mall Road and popular parts of Mussoorie can become crowded. Early morning or quieter evening hours are more comfortable for pets who dislike crowds.
- Mountain trails can become slippery or muddy after rain. Comfortable supervision is important.
- Temperatures can drop significantly in the hills, especially during winter mornings and evenings. Carry a warm layer or blanket for your pet.
- Avoid allowing your pet to wander freely through forested areas or unfamiliar trails.
- Carry sufficient drinking water during longer walks.
- Kempty Falls and other popular attractions can become busy. Consider visiting during quieter hours if travelling with a pet.
- George Everest and other open hill areas can be exposed and windy, so keep your pet close around edges and uneven terrain.
- Plan regular breaks during the drive for water, toilet and movement.
- Carry your pet's regular food, water bowl, leash, waste bags, towel, bedding, basic first-aid supplies and any regular medication.
DAY 1 | DELHI → MUSSOORIE
Drive from Delhi towards Mussoorie via Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Roorkee and Dehradun.
Take a comfortable break before beginning the final climb into the hills.
Check into your stay and allow your pet some time to settle in.
In the evening, take a gentle walk around Landour or Mall Road, depending on your location and your pet's comfort.
Arrive in the hills. Unpack slowly. Take the first walk.
DAY 2 | LANDOUR, CHAR DUKAN & LAL TIBBA
Start the morning exploring Landour Cantonment and its quiet mountain lanes.
Continue towards Char Dukan, Lal Tibba and Sister's Bazaar, stopping for a relaxed café break where pets are welcome.
Return to the property for a leisurely afternoon and some downtime.
Spend the evening taking another easy walk through the quieter parts of Landour.
A day for walking, coffee and mountain views — without the rush.
DAY 3 | GEORGE EVEREST & CLOUD'S END
Drive towards George Everest in the morning.
Enjoy the open landscape and panoramic mountain views before continuing towards Cloud's End for a quieter nature experience.
Return to Mussoorie in the afternoon and spend the evening at leisure.
If your pet still has energy, finish the day with a relaxed walk around the property or a quieter part of town.

DAY 4 | MUSSOORIE → DELHI
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and one final mountain walk.
Check out and begin the descent towards Dehradun and the return journey to Delhi.
Take a comfortable break along the way so your pet can stretch, drink water and rest.
OPTIONAL DAY 5 | THE SLOW DEHRADUN DAY
For the extended 4N / 5D version, keep an additional day flexible.
Simply stay around Dehradun like Hyatt Regency Dehradun Resort and Spa or at Tree of Life Resort, Dehradun Foothills— enjoy a slow breakfast, take a long neighbourhood walk, stop for coffee and spend the afternoon relaxing at the property. Depart for Delhi the next day.
