The journey is comfortable for a road trip, with good highways for much of the route before moving into quieter countryside roads.
Our suggestion:
Take a comfortable breakfast or refreshment break around Durgapur or Bankura, allowing your pet time to stretch, drink water and take a proper walking break.

• Purulia is particularly well suited to pets who enjoy open spaces, nature walks and long drives.
• Much of the sightseeing involves outdoor terrain, so comfortable supervision is important.
• Keep your pet leashed around lakes, dams, forest areas, monuments and crowded tourist spots.
• Reservoirs and lakes may have uneven edges, slippery surfaces or steep sections. Keep pets safely away from the water's edge unless the area is clearly suitable.
• Forest and hill areas can have uneven, rocky or loose terrain. Comfortable footwear for longer walks and close supervision of your pet are advisable.
• Avoid allowing pets to wander freely through forested areas or unfamiliar countryside.
• Wildlife and insects may be present around forest and reservoir areas. Keep your pet close and avoid interaction with wildlife.
• Purulia can become quite warm outside the cooler months, so plan longer walks during the early morning or late afternoon.
• Carry sufficient drinking water during sightseeing, particularly around Baranti, Khairabera and the Ajodhya Hills.
• Some monuments, temples and protected areas may not permit pets inside.
• For longer road journeys, plan regular breaks for water, toilet and movement.
• Carry your pet's regular food, water bowl, leash, waste bags, towel, bedding, basic first-aid supplies and any regular medication.

DAY 1 | KOLKATA → PURULIA
Drive from Kolkata towards Purulia via Dankuni, Bardhaman, Durgapur and Bankura.
Take a comfortable break en route before continuing towards your chosen base.
Check into your resort and allow your pet some time to settle in.
Spend the evening around the property and nearby countryside, taking a relaxed walk as the sun begins to soften.
The Purulia holiday begins when the roads become quiet and the landscape opens up.
DAY 2 | BARANTI & GARPANCHKOT
Start the morning with a visit to Baranti Lake & Baranti Hills.
Enjoy a leisurely lakeside walk and allow your pet to explore the open surroundings.
Continue towards Garh Panchkot, combining the historic ruins with scenic drives and outdoor time around the forested landscape.
Return to your property by evening and enjoy a slow evening together.

DAY 3 | KHAIRABERA OR AJODHYA HILLS → KOLKATA
Depending on your chosen base, begin the morning with Khairabera Dam or a scenic drive towards the Ajodhya Hills.
Enjoy the landscape at an easy pace, with short walks and scenic stops rather than trying to cover every attraction.
Begin the return journey to Kolkata after lunch, allowing regular breaks for your pet along the way.
OPTIONAL DAY 4 | JOYCHANDI PAHAR & DEULGHATA
For the extended 3N / 4D version, keep the third night relaxed and use the additional day for further exploration.
Visit Joychandi Pahar and Deulghata, or spend more time around the villages and countryside near your chosen stay.
Return to the property for a leisurely afternoon before beginning your journey back to Kolkata.
